Unboxing and Reviewing the FlyFish RC Volador 3 and 3.5 Inch Frame
Hello drone enthusiasts! Today we're taking a deep dive into a riveting video by Wyatt Humphreys who has recently crossed 1,000 subscribers🥳. Cheers to that! In the spotlight today is the Volador 3 and 3.5 Inch Frame by FlyFish RC that's taking the drone universe by storm. Let's jump right into it and unbox the fun!
The Build and the Buzz
Straight off the bat, Wyatt throws light on the initial thoughts about this fantastic frame. It's pitched as an excellent choice for beginners, but with a slight caveat – soldering. Soldering and fitting your equipment may proove tricky on such a small build. While this frame presents a valuable opportunity for anyone keen on mastering soldering, it could be a bit of a barrier for those new to the hobby.
Then again, if you're already a pro drone user with a fleet of five and six-inch drones, this one is a charm. It's compact, lightweight, and way easier to carry around for some spontaneous park flying sessions.
The Techie Take
Humphreys review didn't just stop at his flight experiences; he went all-out detailing the technical specifications of these quadcopters. The video transmission was accomplished using the 03, which is good enough to replace an action cam for most people. The board, however, was the tricky part. The original board from Fly Fish was swapped out for a GepRC AIO to accommodate the user's 4S batteries with an XT30 connector.
Now, let's talk motors. The 3 inch Volador uses the 1404 4500 KV while the 3.5 inch uses the 1804 3500 KV 4S motors. The frame also included a protective stubby Mount for the 03 antenna and used a Happy Model EP1 as the receiver. And what about propellers? The propellers of choice were the Gemfan 3023 3-inch tri-blade ones.
The Flight and the Fun
According to Humphreys , building the Volador was straightforward. The frame came with great TPU parts, a nice battery pad, and an included strap. The flight footage certainly speaks for itself, showcasing the agility, speed, and overall fun-factor of these drones.
But, is it for everyone? Maybe not. If you're a hardcore FPV pilot obsessed with high-quality clips, this might not be your cup of tea. However, if you're someone who loves the thrill of flight and doesn't mind a slightly lower budget build, the Volador 3 and 3.5 Inch Frame could be your perfect match!

Closing Thoughts
For the price, the Volador offers excellent performance and affordability. It's fast, fun, and potentially less expensive than its larger counterparts. There's just something special about being able to experience the fun of a five-inch drone in a compact, more casual format. So, are you ready to fly?
